Singkong gajah adalah singkong varietas unggul dari Kalimantan Timur yang dapat berproduksi hingga 40 kg per pohon.[1] Singkong gajah dapat tumbuh baik di dataran rendah maupun dataran tinggi, tetapi tidak dapat tumbuh baik di daerah rawa atau yang terus menerus sering tergenang air.[1] Dengan pertumbuhan yang normal, pohon singkong gajah dapat mencapai tinggi 4 sampai dengan 5 meter.[1] Ditemukan oleh Professor Ristono, guru besar Universitas Mulawarman, pada tahun 2006.[1] lalu dikembangkan pada tahun 2008.[1] Produksi rata-rata Singkong Gajah segar jenis ini per hektar adalah 120 ton, Umur tanaman 10 bulan sudah dapat dipanen.[1]
